Thank you for submitting an audition for the MTVA Freshmen (Grade 9) Honor Choirs.

  • Submissions are due by 11:59pm on Friday, October 30.
  • Students may only submit recordings once.
  • MTVA strongly encourages students (and directors) to listen to the recording before uploading.
  • DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME, SCHOOL, OR ANY OTHER IDENTIFYING INFORMATION IN THE FILE NAME OF YOUR RECORDINGS.  In other words, don't name your recording "Jane Doe - MTVA Audition" or "County High School - Jane Doe."

Tips For Making Your Recordings:

  • Recordings must be audio only - no video.
  • Recordings should include the accompaniment tracks (cuts/tracks released on Monday, October 19 at 5pm) AND voice, with voice predominant but accompaniment still clearly heard in background.
  • Recordings should not be digitally altered (i.e., auto-tune, effects, etc).  Recordings that are digitally altered will be disqualified.
  • DO NOT IDENTIFY YOURSELF ON THE RECORDING.  Do not mention your name, school, grade, or make any other sounds that might identify yourself to adjudicators.  Your recording should only include your singing along with the accompaniment track.
